Roots B4 Branches: his is a 2.5 hour dance workshop that goes through a timeline from the beginning of Urban Dance to the birth of Hip Hop and through the history of our dance community today. Students will receive a 12-page dance timeline handout, watch rare video clips of most of the styles, participate in discussion and dance two of the styles in the handout. The intent is to provide all participants with an understanding of the history, essence and foundation of many of the Hip Hop and Urban Dance styles they do today.
